This popularity of the right is a new phenomenon, Rich. Sept 11 was probably the catalyst.
Many Americans seemed to experience an epiphany as a result of that day. They might have been
wavering up to that day, as far as where their political convinctions lay. The terrorists seemed to have
helped them get a clearer picture of what they believe.

Modern American politics was very confusing for many citizens. They don't want to take the time out of their
busy lives to study the differences between the political parties. Sept 11 made it much clearer for them--they know they are Americans, they support this country's fighting forces & the President when he confronts foreign aggression. The fog has lifted & they don't want to hear cries of......"it costs too much", " the Repubs just want more power" or "he was selected not elected." They support their country, it's leader & it's fighting forces. That's the way it should be. Afterall, we are all Americans, right?.....we want to protect our homeland, right? What's more important than that?
