I subscribe to IBD among other things and noticed that ZRAN was moving up strongly. Yet if you look at the income and cash flow statements ZRAN appears to be losing to ESST both on the income and on the cash flow criteria. ZRAN is perhaps simply a momentum stock.
Maybe esst will move soon too, as Zran did, but with more to "deserve" it.
At any rate, I think I'll buy shares tomorrow, sell puts for July and sell covered calls against SOME of the shares I buy. That way if my shares get called away and the stock is in a trading range the buyer of my puts will exercise them and I'll have the same number of shares at the end of July and can start the process all over again.
at my investment club meeting last week our speaker, an investor who has actually been sucessful the last two years and has topped his "high of Jan 99" portfolio bottom line said
"there are no good stocks...all stocks are bad" which I thought was very funny and actually very apt.
Of course he was referring to what happened to many of us with Qcom, and not getting out when the stock had given us that prize of prizes, a day when it went up 156 points.
Good luck to us all!
