If there were no Israeli-Palestinian conflict, there would have been no Al Qaeda. This assertion flies in the face of much we have read together these past six months. IMO the idea that bin Laden independently moves ahead, with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as almost an afterthought, is one of the "big ideas" arising from all the inquiries and, to my mind, marks the reporting of those who know from those who claim to know. --fl
