Today being Easter, religion is a quite appropriate topic. Although lumber would also appear to be. :-)

it does follow fairly directly that i strongly suspect no one else does either .... including - nay, especially - the atheists, who as i understand it are denying the possibility of a greater intelligent force or forces with a hand in making the cosmos go round .... how can they know for sure? - this is illogical in the extreme, requiring fully as much faith as do the religious, and while the religious admit they rely on faith [whatever that is, sorry but us Radical In-Yer-Face Agnostics do not understand the term, even those of us in the moderate cute cuddly sub-sect to which i belong] - the atheists do not
Well put.
I agree completely. Neither side can make their case. Which leaves the null hypothesis (agnosticism) as the only defensible ground.

I said something like that to an atheist on the thread recently (who shall remain nameless due to my cowardice) and was roundly attacked.
