Hi Elmat, as I noted before, the interest on USD 1 million deposit in HK savings account (1 month auto roll fixed term) is 0.05-0.10% per annum, higher than JYen at 0.001%, and 1/40th of interest of Euro, 1/60th of Aussie. The carrying cost of physical gold and platinum is no longer relevant. The 'safe' opportunity cost of purchasing nastily expensive time machines in naught.
