It sounds as if you are happy about the current instability, since it may support your fundamental bearish position. I don't take into account event I cannot even try to guess. The model suggested took into account the possibility of a major conflagration later this year, but the current situation in the Mid-east has been developing for some time, apart of a short term impact, the market should have anticipated and discounted that.
