In earlier posts, the subject of my hubris came up. I have limited my posts with which I disagree on this thread to those of Cary.

I have recently begun portfolios to track Cary's grand opinion of himself. After ~2 1/2 months the results are as expected: Cary's portfolio is doing no better, in fact slightly worse, than a 'non-Cary' portfolio.

Cary would prefer us to simply pass over his countless previous posts showing his opinions and prognostications regarding the equipment sector are no better than someone totally unfamiliar with the sector. He would prefer us to maintain the "good feeling" on the thread by ignoring his poor performance.

We should all be concerned on an ongoing basis that we have not done our best to help him protect his own portfolio from his stock selection process. Our rationalization is that the Cary's sentiments arise from such intransigent and condescending arrogance that he fails to appreciate his rather prosaic investing insight.

And since arrogance is most often inversely associated with investing returns, absolutely anything can happen to his stock selections.
