Well, I think is rational to believe the Big Bang theory ...

inasmuch as the great majority of astronomers support its validity. Yet, I don't think it matters much, since the theory begs the most important questions, such as: what caused the "Bang," and where did the matter and energy that formed the universe come from. We are only seeing the effect of the Bang, which may be observable, but equally imponderable as to its implications. The curious thing is that this effect is integral to our existence, and yet no one gives it much of a thought.
