It should be clear that the Ny Fed and the Board don't really want the public to have a full account of what matters, raw money creation. The published aggregates are sufficiently ambiguous so that they don't give a clear view as to what FOMC operations are actually doing. This state of affairs flies in the face of their repeated claims that they seek full disclosure of their actions. As you well know and as is contradicted by all Fed pundits, there is no permanent source of raw reserve creation publicly available.

Sure would like to see someone out there refute me on this. Many have smugly tried, but all have failed because they don't know what raw money is. They are fooled just like the Board would like them to be fooled by the appearances that they have got to the good stuff. This should be clear from Reuters' inadvertence.
