You don't understand the benes of plated gold recovery. Gold is always plated onto a recoverable substrate. Customarily, the substrate is 4 to 10 times the micron thickness of the more valuable gold plating sitting atop.

To put this into ounces, for every OUNCE of gold I'm recovering I'm recovering between 4 and 10 oz of silver, 4-10 ounces of nickel, 4-10 ounces of copper, etc.

The only cost I'm out is chemicals, some solar power and shipping costs for refined product through put...as I said, less than $20 per troy ounce cost and the silver, nickel, copper is all negative cost "by products" as you call them. Sometimes I'm out a modest acquisition cost per ton, but by and large the crap is discarded and donated due to the obsolescence habit of product cycles and fashion whims.

Looks like Dine's reco hasn't brought in the hoards of unwashed suckers at the top here prior to the latest version of a study to help push you all through the $4 level which croupier's counting on inorder to bail out at the "$20 level"...<snicker> middle to latter part of this month, right CCC?
