The market really seems to like the news of the private placement. GBU has been really strong since the announcement -- probably because it was well-oversubscribed.

It does seem a natural for a takeover by one of the majors. My rough calculations put the market cap at about $17 US per oz of gold in the ground, which still seems cheap to me for a deposit of this scale and at this stage of development. Just wishful thinking.... :^)
