Abortions do not involve babies, they involve the early potential for babies. The beginnings of the human brain and spinal column (if there's a soul that's where it is) don't even BEGIN forming until halfway through the pregnancy. Until then we're about the same as a tadpole. And that, the human brain doesn't begin functioning consciously until AFTER birth.

I've read a book on it by a DOCTOR. You ought to do the same. Stem cells and early pregnancies are nowhere near involving humanity in any form. The real debate starts at around 4 months. Then I agree, have a little respect. The foetal tissue at that stage is held sacred but some. That we can all respect. But any earlier and it starts getting absurd. No one has ever advocated cutting babies out of women in late pregnancy. We're talking about tiny tadpoles here.

Therefore, to say abortions are murder is irrational. The human doesn't exist yet, may never and won't know it exists until 6-9 months later. But then you aren't rational, nor is religion in general (or else there'd be peace in Palestine right?). I understand. Bottomline, religion like abortion should be a matter of choice. And judgements about it are solely a matter of wide-varying opinion. Also, men shouldn't be the ones fighting abortion rights. They have nothing to do with the pain nor the process. Let the women decide what to do with their bodies. Basically "if you don't play the game, don't make the rules". Hey I respect your right to an opinion but it doesn't mean you have your head screwed on straight. Over the years the church is slow to accept science. But this is one of the main problems the church has had. Many of its rules are completely out-dated and clash mightily with present reality. for instance chastity for priests. So who do you get? Pedophiles. Logical. Time for them to change the rules and time for the church to embrace birth control instead of rejecting it.

Bottomline, the laws are never going to change unless the GOP wants to lose every general election. Women will rebel and revolt if you guys ever try to take those rights away. Not that they want an abortion or will ever have obe, but accidents happen and that is when they want the CHOICE. Legal and safe.
