Just about every show on any network is 10th grade level, but that has more to do with the average intelligence in the country rather than Dave's sense of humor. I believe he has confidence--not inflated ego. He is very respectful when it's called for unlike some dingbat hollywood icons. It's true that all comedians in recent yrs have had to revert to more slapstick, pie in your face, downright crude humor.....because that's what the American audience responds to(unfortunately). However, Dave manages to keep the majority of his humor in good taste. Jay Leno used to keep it clean....now he has started to reach down into the gutter more than before. I'm sure they've both learned that's the only way to get a laugh from their audience. Dave is from the heartland & it shows. His heart & head are in the right place. His humor can get off the wall.....but, hey, he's a comedian.
