Len, I wonder what is Sharon waiting for to snuff out Yasser Arafat?? After all, we all know that no one's gonna blame Israel for such a bold move... Will the US attack Israel if Arafat is killed? Europe? Russia? LOL... And who'll get the backlash anyway? Perhaps that's Sharon's strategy: when he'll have all the Palestinian territories under tight control then... bye bye Arafat! Any Palestinian reprisals will have to be carried out abroad (most likely Europe, Israel's #1 economic partner). Of course, other momentous collateral fallouts will affect the world as well: Afghan leader Karzai will likely die in a "plane accident"... and a western front will challenge the US military in Afghanistan. Not to mention an oil embargo by the Gulf states --you thought recovery was just around the corner, eh? Just don't bank on it, yet.
