Dennis Roth. As I recall, Engineer has stated that the QCOM ASICS allowed for adjusting certain parameters when the terminal is not mobile and that doing so greatly improved throughput. Clearly, modifying standard ASICS or creating ASICS would be a time consuming costly process for a SOMA start up company. I believe SOMA uses someone's off the shelf ASICS -- probably QCOM's.
