This board has been very quiet recently. I think IDTI and several other semiconductors are vulnerable through this summer. Corporate sales of IT hardware and software is not picking up as many had expected. The communications sector continues to see cutbacks in capital equipment spending that will effect chip sales. The overall economy is improving but there is still slack in the high tech electronics sectors that may take several more quarters to work through imo. In general, pricing levels for chips will remain low. IDTI has many leading edge parts that go into the hottest selling segments and equipment. However, I think expectation for improvement is currently too high. Despite improvement in the general economy, the driving sectors for semi sales, particularly for leading edge, specialty segments such as communications, T&M, and Gbit ether net, will lag well behind.
