After a free visit to LBR's chatroom, (free on the first day of the month) I thought I'd check on one of her comments. I think she mentioned something about a first trading day of the month rally...which Larry Williams has promoted for many years.

mrci.com

One of my break-out set-ups has a net return of $66/trade/emini and wins 58%.

If I only trade on the first trading of the month the net return increases $218/trade/emini and wins 65%.

So, as Larry Williams has pointed out many times, and LBR reminded me yesterday, trading break-outs on the first day of the month is a good way to go. Of course, hyping your own chatsite on the first of the month by making that day free to visitors is smart marketing, because it helps a trading to look better than they are on an average day.

I think using a filter like first trading day of the month is more effective than any intermarket trend, but intermarket trends can still be effective under some conditions.
