I think with what's going lately any Investor has got ask themselves who do they trust. Don't forget it was only back in May 2000 AOL paid the SEC a then record $3.5 million fine for inflating earnings.
I'm not short AOL, have puts bet against it. I have no vested invest to see the stock go down.
I did sell 100% of my time warner shares the day they announced the merger though.
