That's one way of looking at it.

But it surely doesn't justify the level of brutality exercized against the Jews and Muslims.

And although, in fact, the Arabs did conquer all of N. Africa, and Spain, I don't recall many reports of wholesale slaughters and genocides against either Jew or Christians.

And they weren't exactly barbarians when compared to the ACTUAL barbarians from which many christian nations developed during medival times..

Of course, I can truly hate the muslims for giving us Algebra... After all, I never was much of a math whiz in high school... :0)
