No, I invoked the rule about how much I was discommoded, not how innocuous they would find the practice.

Sorry about that. I was connecting the two. So we have two threads in this. One is how innocuous you assess the offense to be and the other is how discommoded you would be to respect and accommodate the religious beliefs of others. I was assuming they were on the same sliding scale, that is, you would accept increasingly more inconvenience as the conditions became increasingly less innocuous.

I brought up beef because it was recently mentioned and because I thought that an example from an alien religion might be easier to use. I think eating cows is bigtime not innocuous, although I could be mistaken, and that we accept considerable inconvenience to accommodate something like that.

So are they parallel or are they different?
