Scott: Blade servers, ItaNIUM-BASED 64BIT M/CS, 64BIT S/W including webservices and web appliances are going to make huge demand on IT spending in the years 2003-2006. Dell is wiser to focus on management s/w. HP already has one of the best n/w s/w in Openview. HP and CPQ combination can pose a formidable challenge to Dell, if Fiorna can handle it (I am skeptical of her abilities). It is going to be an interesting 4 years.
