Joey... one more time... You asserted that Muslims are all members of a "murderous cult whose members are no better than street thugs".
You have essentially stated that all Muslims believe in committing the kinds of atrocities we're currently seeing Muslim extremists committing. No hedging. No room for exceptions... No attempt to condemn only the perpetrators of such heinous heresies, without impugning an entire religion.
Furthermore, you mentioned how you are "reading history pages about their past deeds", thus trying to link the past events (1,000+ years ago) to events occurring today.
Yet, because it's "inconvenient" for you to be reminded of the atrocities committed by evil men in the name of Jesus Christ, you attempt to declare that the crusades are "unimportant".. Merely an aberration in an otherwise glorious, peace-loving history of Christianity.
But you're utterly unwilling to accept the fact that evil men, for their own sinful reasons, are particularly adept at taking something of beauty and utterly warping and desecrating it.
I'm not Muslim.. In fact, I consider myself to be a saved christian, and completely disagree with Muslims about what is required to be saved.. But I'm not so blind as to believe that Christianity hasn't been warped and twisted merely to advance the cause of power-hungry, greedy individuals. The Spanish conquest of the New World is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how Christianity was abused to enrich the corrupt Spanish.
I would suggest that you broaden your mind a bit, even if you disagree with the Muslim faith. I know many muslims and they cannot imagine how these extremists are able to twist what they view to be a religion of peace and tolerance (and they practice such concepts on a daily basis).
