Andrew/ call the company to get most current info. but my understanding is that the door to competition is opening. Is this instance competition is good for Canada Payphone because it should allow them to enter the currently (for the past 121 years) restricted telephone marketplace. According to the CRTC news release the timeframes for response are tight - July 17th is when intentions have to be in to the CRTC and final followup/responses are due by September 7. Currently CPY is conducting a 6 month technical trial (started mid March) in the Vancouver area. Finally, it's my understanding that CPY will be releasing news re: developments over the next while - the first release will be the perceived impact of CRTC Public Notice.
