In life when you go "public" you are no longer "private". Politicians should be held accountable for deeds done in or out of the office. In elections, the voters decide who is best suited for the task. How they arrive at their conclusions are varied, but I would bet most would want to know everything they could about their potential choice before hand. Given this,it makes no difference about "political witch hunts" being in good or bad taste. What matters most is knowing exactly all there is to know about our elected officials in where-ever manner the light seems to shine. After all it should be the public who decides what is of value or not.

Politicians,in my mind, should be held at a higher standard than those they serve.
