I haven't read the article but with regards to your synopsis resulting in item 4, I have a hard time believing that Iraq would use the weapons mentioned for the following reason. Presumably much of the Arab mid-east world intelligence would know and realize that if Iraq did the unmentionable that the US would respond with such vehemence and outrage that certainly other area Arab countries stability and well being would be jeopardized. If this is the case, can you imagine those neighbouring Arab countries risking their all and accomodating Iraqs insane game. As I see it at present, they are not worried much about Iraq doing something stupid (well....I mean ...really really stupid).
