BMW Re..I guess Niceguy doesn't recall that Hammer was originally expected to sample in Q4 2001 for a Q1 2002 launch.<<<<< Do you have a link. It would be ridiculous to think that AMD or Intel could sample one quarter, and launch the next. It takes at least 4 - 5 months to start production until first product is ready to sell, plus time to stockpile, means after start of production, AMD would need approximately 2 q. and you would believe a report that AMD would launch 1 q. after first samples.
