I think they are going to engage in some kind of accounting magic so as not to warn and skid in just at the estimated levels.
If they were to warn, I think that this is information that would have been known to HP prior to the vote and would have led to some last minute boat-jumping. Seeing as this didn't occur, I believe they must be on track, but by the skin of their teeth.
MC's exhortations to the troops to "stay focussed" last quarter are indicative of a tight market. Clearly, he knew it would be close and wanted to make sure his team was out beating the bushes.
