WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1997--

UniqueAir Licenses Lightbridge's Churn Prophet

Solution Through Pilot Software

Lightbridge, Inc. (NASDAQ:LTBG), a leading provider of
customer acquisition and retention solutions for the global
telecommunications industry, today announced that UniqueAir Limited,
one of the top ten wireless service providers in the United Kingdom, is
deploying Lightbridge's Churn Prophet solution to reduce customer
churn.

Churn Prophet is an analytical tool designed to help carriers reduce
churn (when a customer leaves one carrier for another) and increase
customer retention. It uses data mining and predictive modeling
technology to identify characteristics of subscribers who have canceled
service in the past to develop predictions as to which subscribers are
likely to cancel service in the future.

"After evaluating different options, we chose Churn Prophet to reduce
the churn in our U.K. customer base of 300,000 plus," said Nick
Rowley, group managing director of UniqueAir Limited. "With Churn
Prophet, we can target high-value, at-risk customers with strategic
retention programs to address the increasing churn problem in this
extremely competitive market. Churn Prophet's open architecture will
easily integrate with our existing systems allowing us to reduce our
customer churn rate and keep it well below prevalent industry levels."

"Lightbridge is committed to delivering the best solutions for
customer acquisition and retention to the global telecommunications
marketplace," said Pamela Reeve, president and CEO. "This
agreement serves as an excellent example of our strategy to work
closely with strategic partners like Pilot Software to expand our global
reach."

"Customer churn is a problem that has plagued the global
telecommunications industry for years," said Lisa Modisette, director
of telecommunications intelligence solutions at Lightbridge, Inc.
"Lightbridge is keenly aware of the amount of revenue carriers are
losing to customer churn each day. Our history and expertise in this
market, as well as our partnership with technology-leader Pilot
Software, allows us to provide unparalleled churn analysis solutions to
global telecommunications carriers."

Lightbridge's Churn Prophet is marketed and sold throughout Europe
by Pilot Software. Lightbridge also integrates and resells Pilot
Software's application development and data mining technology with
Churn Prophet in the United States.

"In the global telecommunications industry, effectively managing
customer churn is the key to success," said Hans Amell, president and
chief executive officer of Pilot Software. "Pilot Software is pleased to
work with Lightbridge as an applications partner to rapidly deliver
churn management solutions that mine their customer data, giving
decision makers the information they need to retain valuable
customers." About Lightbridge
