Well, this is a short summary of a variety of surveys that have been done on student bodies. They all tend toward showing a positive relationship between intelligence and agnosticism or atheism; as well, a negative correlation between religiousity and honesty, and so forth.

However, I doubt that many agnostics actually wish to grandstand on these results. They simply wish to be spared the moral superiority and supercilious scorn that seems a regretful concomitant of some religious people.

As to your usage of SAT scores to deduce the comparisons of intelligence with pretentiousness...am I making too little of that?
