The recovery data-points since the last double dip pronouncements that I have heard from the Roach-Biggs-Wien bear den have been pretty impressive. Keep on the lookout and let us know if you see any actual evidence of double-dip, though hearsay will also be admissible in this forum. <g>

As far as the post-bubble depression historical analog to the 30s is concerned, post Oct. '87, I expected something similar, as I had only seen one stock market that declined over 30% in a day and a depression soon followed. But history never repeats, it only rhymes, and Main St. pulled up Wall St. quite rapidly. Can you elaborate on your theory of bubbles and why you think a double-dip is inevitable?
