Some Christians see Jesus as aprocryphal, possibly an amalgam of more than one historical figure. It's what He represents that matters more to us.

And what truths and wisdom the world was all to ready for back at that crucial juncture in man's history was also described and delved into by many , even a few Emperors. Much that dealt with moral compasses, living simply and charitably etc , even to the most sublime spiritual exercises and renunciations...long before Jesus .

No one religion has all the answers or perfect ritual and
they must all learn to accept that . A great deal of good
came out of the secular.

There is nothing more offensive , than to take a simple truth that many have come to know by other means and hold it over people's heads for centuries , for pain of eternal Hell because they were not part of that particular litany
and ritual.

All this talk of Atheist or Agnostic does not take into consideration the one basic idea , that there is plenty of inspiration to go around ,and no one is saved or damned for believing or not believing... or ever excommunicated
from life.

That Jesus may have been a wise teacher , fine , but there
were others before and after just as wise .

But nice to have Jesus in the tribe of man.

;-)
