but those religious caveats & issues are of the gravest import to the world beyond us ...and peaceful understanding of what is the "essence" of teachings that Mohammed stumbled upon centuries after many blessed

we sat here on this thread and witnessed last summer the destruction of the statues of the Buddha...

for what possible good did that achieve whatsoever? Where was the threat ?

It empowered the Islamic world ? Made Allah greater
than he already is ? Destroyed some terrible evil ?

What human in history , say just the history of Islam led a more exemplorary life than Siddartha of India , who went beyond even the most devout follower of Islam inhis daily life and practices ? He made no wars to spread his truths
and none were caused after him.

Where did I miss the point ? We would have hanged Ghandi or
beheaded him because he might have prayed at a Vishnu or Siva temple ?
