* Advanced Micro Devices (AMD, 3 Market Perform) Q1 Earnings Release: We
expect AMD to generate Q1 revs of $900M, down 5.4% q/q and an earnings loss
of 5 cents per share. Gross margin is expected to come in at 32.0%. The
company continues to face a seasonally weak Q1 due to the fall off of the
consumer PC segment. We also believe the whitebox market in APAC has dropped
off significantly after the lunar new year. Earlier this quarter, the
company reaffirmed its $900M rev target and ASPs in the ~$90 range. We
believe the company will be faced with continued pricing pressure as rival
Intel is expected to cut PIV ASPs in April and May.
