You don't get it? The paper price of gold is manipulated through the use of direvitives and over hedging by the likes of American Barrick. That is the only reason it is any where near this price...but more importantly read the next post because in the giant game of musical chairs the last few seats are being taken. Even AngloGold is covering. Why not Barrick? They have 18 million ounces hedged right? Well they are going to be competing with an awfully lot of other gold mining companies trying to buy those back. See Above post.
