Now confirmed by the $BPSPX closing below the 20-day EMA:

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyyay[dd][pc20][vc60]&pref=G

Normally when the BP indices cross the 20-day EMA, lower prices are on the horizon, and new lows or a substantial re-trace are the norm. However, the SPX cross-over could whip-saw a bit before heading down decisively. The key is to have the EMA falling when the cross-over happens. If the 20-day EMA is flat or rising, it is not as reliable an indicator.
