Re: I understand Silicon Valley is a fairly relaxed and lightly trafficked place.

This was confirmed yesterday by a commentator on Nation Public Radio here. She says that the recently perpetual all day traffic jams on 280 and 101 have been reduced to rush hour affairs a la 1994. Rents are down as well. Though, interestingly, houses going on the resale market have recently been getting offers over the asking. Go figure.
