Monika, When you get all your stuff from one supplier then that supplier has you by the ***, and when someone has you by the ***, your heart and mind do follow. Trapped into exclusivity/tied deals. How eager are many server makers to ease that painful grip?(top end XEON ~ $4000). VERY, VERY, VERY How eager are small server makers to enter that grip?? NOT VERY EAGER AT ALL. How eager are both types to see true competition in the XEON arena? VERY, VERY, VERY. So you are seeing the end of the Intel domination at the final level of chips....the XEONS. In one year we will see an entirely new ASP for these parts, sorta like the cashcade downwards we have seen in desktop parts. That means the SP of Intel will be a lot lower in a year. Check back with you then and see how you feel. Bill
