i kicked this around with aa some time ago, even sent him a 1 year daily of the vxn, which shows patterns that have made their measurements better than most indices. It's tough to seem to get a handle on though, seems unorthodox for many to put patterns on these sentiment indexes for some reason. Alan counted out an EW for the vix which called for fresh lows a ways back when we started along this tack...and voila<g> so there you have it..<g>
