Turns out that the I was the perpetual bridesmaid at the courthouse. I never even got called up to be interviewed by the judge. They went through the whole list and spent more time eliminating alternates than the actual jury. Finally, there were only two people left in the gallery, me and another woman when the attorneys accepted the jury and the alternates. We were excused from service.
