"thought experiment" re. absolute control over your own body:

Assume the following set of facts:

1) Person A criminally assaults person B.
2) There is no doubt about Person A's guilt.
3) Person B is severely injured as a result of this assault.
4) Person B will die within 24 hours unless he/she receives
an immediate blood transfusion.
5) Furthermore, in order to survive, person B needs to have
a series of operations over the next nine months that
will also require blood.
6) Person B has an extremely rare type of blood.
7) By coincidence, person A is the only other person in the
world known to have this same type of blood; thus, person A
is the only possible donor.
8) The amount of blood needed (immediately, and also over the
next nine months) would not be fatal or life-threatening
to Person A.
9) Person A refuses to donate blood to person B.

Question: Can the government *force* person A to donate blood,
or is person A's "right to their own body" inviolable?
