The latest suicide bombing reminded the Israelis of their recent past and not only the Holocaust but also the various "Progroms " (organized manslaughter rampages of villagers ) committed against Jews by the Ukrainians and Poles and also by the systematic destruction of the Jewish middle class by Stalin after 1929.

Then as now various reason were given to legitimize the slaughter of Jews including the burning of Synagogues. The similarities in a way are striking they are desecrating cemeteries and burning Synagogues in France and other places in Europe.

My mother is terrified as are many other elderly people who still remember those times. Unfortunate the European due to their inherently hatred have conveniently forgotten those episodes.
