I hadn't heard of ADLAC until you mentioned it here. I don't know anything about the fundamentals, but the chart looks sick. I would assume that the decline was precipitated by the following news:

Adelphia Communications Corp. (ADLAC.O) confirmed on Wednesday the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission was investigating off-the-books loans to partnerships controlled by its founders.

The No. 6 U.S. cable operator disclosed $2.3 billion in loans last week. Some analysts are concerned that amount will increase when the company issues its delayed annual report.

The market is very nervous about these types of transactions. If the company is on the up and up, the stock is probably a good buy for a short term trade. Otherwise it has more downside. I don't follow the company, so I'm not going to make a judgement on the legitimacy of the balance sheet. The only positive in the chart is the extreme volume the last few days and rally to fill the gap that it left on the opening. What is your opinion of the balance sheet and transactions in question?
