The reason he is not running again is because of his visits to Cuba and the moratorium. That's a good way to tick off his base support.

The scandal sounds like a hold over from the previous administration's witch hunt tactics (funny how they were guilty of worse accounts of similar activities).

This was a Janet Reno inspired witch hunt, ...wasn't it? Key word being "Witch".
