April 3,2002 market commentary Pru upgrades some semi equipment stocks. Goldman downgrades IT software stocks. The COMPX signal is a bit of a mess due to the volatility in the last hour of trading, but technically a buy has been triggered. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the SOX. It failed to trigger a buy. COMPX could go either way. Wait for first 45 minutes and go with the bounce if it comes. Otherwise keep you hands in your pockets and prepare to go short on break of 1740.
