Gvander, remember the other variables in the equation. What are the specific energies at the number of recharges? Are the results from the much higher cost Cobalt as opposed to MnO2? Are these laboratory results or do these companies have high volume production lines already installed and qualified? How far away are they from commercial production, if it is viable?

I heard last week that GM Delphi has purchased a license from Bellcore. I was told of conversations with both Bellcore and GM. The gist was that Bellcore has continued to do research on various alternatives and has so far not found anything as viable as their technology Valence and others have licensed. It speaks well for Valence's future, especially with the demand for solid vs. liquid.

I believe that being able to meet the Motorola spec, which I understand was suggested by Valence as a performance goal, is a milestone that sets the stage for some very positive developments.

Also, it has been my understanding for some time that 1000+ recharges at 80% can be attained by switching to Cobalt.
