Catalina Marketing Japan Signs Contract with Sotetsu Rosen

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., March 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Catalina Marketing Japan, an international division of Catalina Marketing Corporation (NYSE: POS), has announced that it has entered into a pilot agreement with Sotetsu Rosen Co., Ltd. to install the Catalina Marketing Network® in eight of its 62 supermarkets in Kanagawa, Japan. Sotetsu Rosen will use the Network to launch its frequent shopper card initiative.

``We are pleased to have partnered with such an innovative company as Catalina Marketing,'' said Hisao Haruyama, Director and head of the sales planning department for Sotetsu Rosen. ``The flexibility of the Catalina Marketing Network® will enable us to provide rewards and incentives to our customers in a more individualized and customized manner.''

The pilot program will begin in April of this year. Upon successful completion of the pilot program, Sotetsu Rosen plans to expand the Catalina Marketing Network into all of its stores.

The Catalina Marketing Network provides an arsenal of strategic marketing applications for both retailers and manufacturers. These programs include promotions that increase sales through loyalty building programs, sampling, in-store instant-win games, pre-paid phone cards, rebate programs, couponing and advertising.
