That's the interesting thing about wars - how they morph far beyond what the instigators had in mind. It may well be that people who begin wars only do so because they lack sufficient imagination to foresee the end.

Japan failed to see how massive and rich in resources the United States was, compared to the tiny island of Japan.

HItler failed to appreciate how massive and rich in resources the Soviet Union was, compared to Germany - - more men, better access to oil, and that nasty Russian winter!

Israel, I fear, fails to appreciate how massive and rich in resources the Arab world is. Israel may have the best trained military in the world, but it's a tiny one compared to one billion Muslims. Don't take them all on at once.

Wolfowitz-Perle-Woolsey aren't stupid - - that's why they are trying to drag the US into it. Don't count on that. We do support Israel, but I really don't think we'll send in troops to protect Israel. JMO.
