On my street there are several black families and a couple of hispanic families. My son's schools (public) were integrated up and down the line. In fact, we have quite a few Asian families in the area, too. I grew up in a very integrated area, in a suburb near Washington, as well. The place I am thinking of moving has a lot of blacks and hispanics. I don't know what surburbia he is talking about.
