Re: "My husband and I chose to live in suburbia. Does that make us bad?"

Some of my best friends drive SUVs and send their kids to all-white schools.

What I find interesting about our little exchange is that suburban Republicans never have any misgivings about putting down those who earn less and who live in the city proper, as opposed to the suburban halo that surrounds the urban core.

But when the tables are turned ... boy oh boy ... it's outrage time!

Yes, you are correct. Each city's racial makeup differs, and the 'burbs of some cities are more integrated than others. Each of our views is shaped by our communities. Where I live, the 'burbs are 99% white.

As far as my question about whether a child is better off experiencing different races/cultures in grade school/high school as opposed to attending an all-white grade school/high school ... really, Moe, you don't need to do "research" to render an opinion. What's your opinion?
