I think you might be surprised at just how much support in the region there would be for the removal of Saddam.

I don't see why such a thing would cause any rage. Also, the US will almost certainly be joined by the UK in such an exercise. I have many friends in London who look forward to the day when they can return to a sanction free and Saddam free Iraq.

The major problem will be who will assume power.
